The Phantom Model B-44,
recepient of the "Editor's Choice" Award from Harry Pearson (October 2006 issue
of TAS) a Class "A" rating in 2005 from Michael Fremer and runner-up for both
Analog Source Component AND the 2006 Product of the Year award in Stereophile
In designing their newest tonearm, the Phantom II, Bob Graham knew it had to be
far superior to his earlier efforts.
The Graham 1.5, introduced in the early 1990s, was recognized as the first uni-pivot tonearm to realize the full potential of a single-point bearing design. The 1.5 evolved into the 1.5t with Tungsten sideweights and then the 1.5tc including a Ceramic armwand.
Next came the Graham 2.0 followed by the 2.2. Both featured further refinements to the original 1.5 design, most notably in the bearing housing and cap.
Having brought his original design to its utmost realization, Bob Graham began with a "blank sheet of paper" to design his next tonearm, dubbed the Phantom.
The original Phantom was the result of over two years of research into design theory, materials analysis, and extensive testing. This involved not only testing of the individual design components as they were being evaluated, but also comparing the several prototype models against our own Model 2.2 and the available competition.
The Phantom was an immediate success furthering Graham's reputation as the best uni-pivot tonearm. Now, we have the Phantom II. Compared to the orignal Phantom, the new Phantom II has a similar outward appearance, but many key improvements.
1. A refined Magneglide™ stabilizer (fig. 1)
2. New internal wiring for better detail & improved freedom from any mechanical resistance
3. An upgraded pivot design for even greater dynamics
4. New titanium armwand, available in 9" and 10" versions. The armtube
itself, easily removable and using Graham's patented alignment system, offers
the safety, convenience and accuracy of off-turntable cartridge installation and
alignment, as well as allowing quick interchange of multiple pre-mounted
cartridges. It is significantly improved from the earlier armwands, and attaches
to a nearly half-inch wide stainless-steel post-and-connector that supports the
armwand under tension, resulting in virtually a one-piece armtube/pivot assembly
with high damping.
5. MicroPoise VTA calibration (fig. 2)
The final result, the Phantom II, has exceeded Graham's highest expectations, surpassing even his highly-rated original Phantom. When compared to other tonearms on the market, listening tests and user comments consistently reaffirm that the Phantom II ascends to a far higher plane of performance.
The Phantom II is available with Standard mount or SME mount

Ortofon's material know-how is the first area of the Ortofon technology that was applied when developing the TA-110.
As a specialist in technical rubber, Ortofon used one of its special rubber compounds when creating the specially shaped rubber with high vibration dampening properties. The rubber pieces are produced at the Ortofon technical rubber facilities in Nakskov.
The second area of Ortofon technology is the extensive knowledge of vibration properties and characteristics. Ortofon has acquired this know-how via the developement of Bone conductors for the hearing aid industry. By using this knowledge and the related computer programs that simulated vibration in different shapes and materials, Ortofon came up with an optimized TA-110.
The TA-110 is given a precision machined slit in the middle of the aluminium tube. A piece of Ortofon's special vibration damping rubber is inserted into the slit. An armtube without slit and rubber damper is symmetrical in a vertical and lateral plane with respect to vibrations. The slit breaks this symmetry, and mounting the rubber insert gives the desired damping.
The TA-110 a static balanced gimbal type arm, which makes it easy to use and adjust for optimal VTF settings.
The TA-110 has a standard 5-pin DIN connector for tonearm cable.
The tonearm geometry allows for a Baerwald alignment (also the IEC recommendations).
Equipped with a standard headshell connector, TA-110 can easily be adjusted in accordance with the included mounting template.
The TA-110 can ideally be combined with MC Windfeld, MC A90 and the new Ortofon Xpression.
The combination of Xpression, ST-80 SE Moving Coil transformer and TA-110 gives a supreme experience!

The new LH-10000 is a new exceptionally high quality headshell made by high performance aluminum alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. The Al alloy applied for LH-10000 is strong, with strength comparable to many steels, has good fatigue strength and average machinability, but less resistance to corrosion than many other Al alloys. LH-10000 was given a precision machined slit on the top plate. A piece of Ortofon's special proprietary TPE (Thermo-Plastic Elastomer) compound with excellent damping properties is integrated into the slit. LH-10000 is fitted with the set of the most sophisticated lead wires identical to Ortofon LW-800S, composed of pure silver and silver coated wire. Silver coated wire transmits the very clear high tone signals, which brings the brilliant tonality. LH-10000 is azimuth adjustable, which is beneficial for optimal channel separation. LH-10000 is perfect for a variety of high-end cartridges, including MC A90, MC Windfeld, Cadenza Series cartridges as well as the historical Jubilee and Kontrapunkt Series. The LH-10000 will be a perfect match to one of these Ortofon High-End cartridges and the Ortofon TA-110 and TA-210 tonearms.
